Terms of Use
Effective August 2026
Apsara Women’s Integrative Health is a direct-pay women’s integrative health practice. All care is provided personally by Seema Shah, MD, a physician licensed in California and board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Care is delivered by telemedicine to patients located in California. Apsara does not bill insurance and does not participate in any health plan or government health care program.
If you are a patient, your care and your financial obligations are governed by your Membership Agreement, the Practice Policies, and the Telemedicine and Treatment Consent. Those documents control if anything here conflicts with them.
Using our website
By using apsarawomenshealth.com, our forms, or our communications, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Our content is educational, not medical advice
Articles, videos, and downloadable materials are for general education. They are not medical advice, are not specific to you, and should not be used to diagnose or treat any condition, to start or stop a medication, or to delay advice from your own clinician.
Reading our content, submitting a form, joining the waitlist, booking an introductory call, or contacting us does not make you a patient. A physician-patient relationship begins only after you complete enrollment, sign the required documents, and are accepted as a patient.
A complimentary introductory call is a short conversation about whether the practice is a good fit. It is not a medical consultation. No diagnosis is made, no treatment is recommended, no prescription is issued, and no medical record is created.
Emergencies
Do not use our website or messages to seek help in an emergency. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988. Messages are not monitored continuously.
What Apsara does not provide
Apsara does not provide obstetric care, emergency care, urgent care, or primary care. Dr. Shah is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist but does not care for pregnant patients or provide postpartum care within the first six weeks after delivery.
Becoming a patient
Apsara limits the number of patients it accepts and may close enrollment or maintain a waitlist at any time. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance or create any obligation on either side. Nothing on our website is an offer to provide medical services, and we may decline to accept anyone as a patient, consistent with applicable law. Services and current fees are described on our website and set out in full in the Membership Agreement.
Who may use our website
Our website is intended for people eighteen (18) years of age or older. Clinical services are available only to people physically located in California.
Please use our website appropriately
Do not submit false information or someone else’s information. Do not send detailed health information through our contact or waitlist forms; they are not a secure channel. Do not attempt unauthorized access, scrape our content, use automated tools to collect or train on our content, or impersonate Apsara or Dr. Shah.
Our content belongs to us
Text, video, photographs, graphics, logos, and the Apsara name and marks are owned by Apsara or its licensors. You may view and print content for your own personal use. Anything else requires our written permission. If you believe our content infringes your copyright, write to hello@apsarawomenshealth.com.
Individual experiences vary
Any experience or outcome described anywhere in our materials reflects that person’s experience only. Results vary, and nothing we publish guarantees a particular result. Testimonials appear only with the individual’s prior written authorization, and we do not pay anyone for a testimonial.
Third-party services
Our website links to and works with third-party services, including our patient portal, scheduling, and payment processing. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
How we contact you
When you give us your email address or phone number, we may contact you about your inquiry, the waitlist, and enrollment, and about educational or marketing content if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Apsara does not send text messages. Please do not include detailed health information in email.
Disclaimers and limits
Our website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apsara is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website, and our total liability for any such claim will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Nothing here limits liability for professional negligence in the provision of medical care, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Claims about medical care are governed by the Membership Agreement and California law, not by these terms.
Governing law
California law governs. Any dispute about our website will be brought in the state or federal courts in Contra Costa County, California. This does not apply to claims arising from medical care, which are governed by the Membership Agreement and California law. Please contact us first at hello@apsarawomenshealth.com; most concerns are resolved directly.
Accessibility
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter a barrier, write to hello@apsarawomenshealth.com and we will provide the information or service in a format you can use.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they were last revised, and material changes will be posted on our website.
